Concealed Carry Weapons CCW, Licensed to Carry LTC, and Concealed Handgun License CHL

Every state has a version of a Concealed Carry License CCL. These are referred to as “License to Carry”, “Concealed Handgun Licence CHL”, “Handgun License” and more. Some offer more reciprocity than others or increased benefits in some instances.
Concealed Carry requirements differ from state to state with no actual federal guidelines to make them consistent. This is the reason you need to take a concealed carry license class from the state in which you reside. It is important to understand your options and protections under federal, state, and local laws. When traveling out of state it is your responsibility to know, understand, and abide by the laws of the state in which you are present.
Some states require no training at all, others simply look for a pistol safety course, while others demand up to 16 hours of training, a lecture from an attorney, and more. (See More).
